Making the world a better place
Founded in 1996, Uva Shakthi Foundation (USF) emerged from a humanitarian initiative following the Maussagolla landslide disaster in the early 1990s. What began as a voluntary relief effort evolved into a structured civil society organization dedicated to inclusive development, reconciliation, and democratic governance.Today, USF works across Uva Province and several other districts in Sri Lanka, engaging rural and plantation communities through participatory development approaches
The organization is fully committed to the principles of honesty, integrity and fair play in the delivery of services to the public and in other domains. This Code of Conduct sets out the basic standard of conduct expected of all staff in the organization on policy matters in connection with their official duties.

Our mission to To engage Citizens’ Councils and community groups to move beyond dependency and become independent actors in community governance, ensuring accountable and transparent development.
